DAVID CLARK "DAVE" BUCHANAN ~ Class of 1983
August 18, 1964 - June 10, 2025



David "Dave" Buchanan passed away peacefully in the arms of his brother, Mark ('80), and his wife, Mary, on June 10, 2025. He was born on August 18, 1964, in Columbus, Ohio, and was preceded in death by his mother, Connie Jane Buchanan. He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary, and by many beloved family members and friends.

Dave graduated from Richland High School in 1983. Following graduation, he worked in Alaska on a crab boat before living in Phoenix, Arizona, and Augusta, Georgia. He later settled in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where he spent thirty years working at TBonz Steakhouse.

His greatest pride was his sons. He was honored when Angus entered military service and when Cullen pursued his doctorate.

Dave will be remembered for his infectious smile, his gratitude for life's blessings, and his compassion for others. He stood up for the underdog and accepted people without judgment, recognizing that shortcomings are part of the human condition.

Six years ago, Dave found his true home in Kalispell, Montana, where he shared a life of love and joy with his soulmate, Mary. Together they embraced life fully, spending their days serving and loving others.

A celebration of Dave's life will be held on September 20, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at 155 Sunday Lane, Kalispell, Montana.
